Three airports serve this belt — and the cheapest flight is not always the cheapest trip
Amritsar and Chandigarh are far closer than Delhi, so a slightly dearer ticket from either can work out better once the taxi is counted. If you have not booked the flight yet, it is worth comparing all three.
Delhi — IGI
About 390 km from Jalandhar, six to seven hours. The most flights, and our busiest airport route by far. Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
Amritsar — ATQ
About 85 km, roughly an hour and a half. For Gulf and UK flights this is usually the sensible choice from Jalandhar district.
Chandigarh — IXC
About 155 km, around three hours. Good for domestic connections when Delhi is full or the timing is awkward.

A large share of our airport work is not somebody going home. It is a family that has flown in and wants to be at Katra, Sri Harmandir Sahib or the Devi temples before they do anything else. The car meets the flight and goes straight there.
These runs need a driver who understands what the passenger has just been through. Someone who has flown eleven hours from Toronto and then wants to drive five more to Katra is not going to enjoy a car that stops for the driver’s own chai three times. We plan the halt points with you, we keep water in the car, and if there are elders going for the yatra we say honestly whether an overnight stop makes more sense than pushing through.

If it lands early, he is already inside. You will not be walking the arrivals hall looking for a number that will not connect.

What people ask before booking an airport taxi
How early should the taxi leave for my flight?
Nine to ten hours before an international departure from Delhi, and about eight hours for a domestic one. From Amritsar it is far less — around four hours for international. Send your flight time and we will confirm the pickup.
Do you track the flight if it is delayed?
Yes. On a pickup the driver checks your flight before setting out and again while waiting. A normal delay carries no waiting charge.
Is there a night charge for an early morning airport run?
No. A 3 to 5 AM start is our most common booking and the quote already covers it. Please confirm night bookings a day in advance.
Which is better from Jalandhar, Delhi or Amritsar airport?
Amritsar is about 85 km and Delhi about 390 km, so Amritsar saves five hours each way. If both airports have a flight that suits you, Amritsar is usually the easier trip even when the ticket costs a little more.
How much does an airport taxi cost?
It depends on the airport, the car and the date, so we send one fixed quote rather than a rate card. Message the route on WhatsApp and the full fare comes back within ten minutes, with toll and airport parking billed at actual.
Which terminal will the driver come to?
Whichever one your flight uses. Send the flight number when booking and the driver confirms the meeting point on WhatsApp before you land.
Can you take a large family with luggage?
Yes. An Innova Crysta takes six with four large bags, and a Tempo Traveller carries 12 to 17 — useful when a whole family is arriving on the same flight.
Can you take us from Amritsar or Delhi airport straight to Katra for Vaishno Devi?
Yes, and it is a regular run. Amritsar Airport to Katra is about 220 km and roughly five hours. Delhi Airport to Katra is about 640 km, so it is an overnight job and we will plan the halt with you. The driver meets the flight and goes straight there — no second booking to arrange after landing.
Which airport is best if we are going to Maa Vaishno Devi?
Amritsar, comfortably. It is about 220 km from Katra against roughly 640 km from Delhi. If the fare difference on the flight is large, Delhi still works, but plan on an overnight halt rather than doing it in one push, especially with elders in the car.
Can the airport taxi continue to Chintpurni, Jwala Ji or Naina Devi?
Yes. Families often land and go straight on to the Devi circuit before going home to the village. Tell us the temples when you book and we quote the whole thing as one journey rather than as separate trips.
Do NRI families have to pay anything before landing?
No. One fixed quote is agreed on WhatsApp before you fly, and you pay when the run is finished, in India, in cash or by UPI. No card details, no deposit, no money sent ahead.
What if my flight is delayed by several hours?
The driver waits and it costs you nothing extra. We track the flight number you give us, so a delay is something we know about before you do. This is the single biggest reason families stop using aggregators for airport runs.
Can you drop my parents at the terminal and confirm they are inside?
Yes, and please ask for it. Give us your number as well as theirs. The driver will ring you when he has picked them up and again once they are inside the terminal with their bags.
